Organizational Background:

The Ethiopian Assemblies of God ChurchAid and Development Association is a faith-based non-profit residentorganization established in 2000. Since then, the organization hasbeen engaged in several humanitarian activities rendering holisticdevelopment activities for vulnerable children and destitute women.In 2009, the organization upgraded itself and registered and licensedunder the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Ministry of JusticeCharities and Societies Agency as a Resident Charity Organization inaccordance with the Charities and Societies Proclamation No. 621/2009to officially undertake holistic development activities in differentparts of the country.

TheEthiopian Assemblies of God Church Aid and Development Associationhas more than ten years of extensive work experiences inadministering vast projects in areas like childcare development,street life prevention, women economic empowerment and HIV/AIDS.Currently, we execute 6 projects, namely:


  1. Child care community center;1

  2. Women economic empowerment;2

  3. Street life prevention;3

  4. HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support;4

• Operational Areas-

Currentlythe organization is operating in the Addis Ababa City Administrationand the two highly populated regional states- Oromia and Amhara. TheAddis office is operating in the three vast sub-cities namely Bole,Nefas-silk lafto and Kirkos while the Oromia operates in Zewaye andWolliso towns and Amhara in Bahir-dar.

• Legal status-

The EAGC-ADA is a faith-based resident NGO; registered under the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Ministry of Justice Charities and Societies Agency Proclamation No. 621/2009 in 2009.

• Staff and Facilities-

The EAGC-ADA is headquartered inthe heart of Addis Ababa, and has ample and well-furnished officefacilities with a total of seventy employees among which twenty areprofessionals, thirty-five technical and fifteen support staff.

• Organ-gram-

The organization is led by theNational Director who reports to the Board of the organization. Under the supervision of the Director, there are five functionaldepartments including the support unit: Finance, Administration,Programs Coordination, Women Economic Empowerment ProjectCoordination and; HIV/AIDS and Child Care Development ProjectCoordination. The head of each unit leads his/her team to achieve thedefined strategic objectives. The organization has the followingstructure:
